This year is the 25th anniversary of founding ELA Solutions LTD. We are proud that the team has expanded dramatically during this period and gained valuable experiences as well as great memories.
Due to the spreading of COVID-19 this year, management decided to celebrate only within a close circle of the team and relive a few moments from the past 25 years. Under normal circumstances, we would have celebrated in a greater fashion. We would have invited our partners, customers, and distributors, but we must be cautious and protect the health of our workers and the people around us. For this, we ask for your understanding, hoping that the 30th anniversary will be celebrated by all of us together.
The two founding partners Daniela Runge and Matyas Jurácsik met in 1989. They both worked for the parent company EMKA Germany. Daniela started there as the daughter of Friedhelm Runge, and Mátyás was a football player in the WSV team, which Herr Runge was the president of.
In 1992 Daniela and Mátyás established the base of EMKA Switzerland in Interlaken as their first project together. During the years in Switzerland, they built a successful and stable business, and their daughter Nadja was born as well.
On the 28th of September in 1995, Daniela Runge, Mátyás Jurácsik, and their business partner founded ELA Hungary LTD, which dealt with the distribution of shutters in the Mid- and West European area. Daniela and Mátyás lived in Germany at this time, but they often traveled to Hungary to expand their company.
1997 was a special year for the family as their second daughter Natascha was born, making them a family of four. It was also a good year for the company, as they started production in Vaci street, Hungary, which resulted in expanding the team by five professionals within the next two years. By investing in CNC drilling and punching machines, they managed to manufacture and develop unique and customized products.
In 1998 the company moved to Cziraki road, where it went through a significant expansion in capacity. Due to this, production was up to a higher standard.
In 1999 the designer team of ELA developed the company’s first stainless steel swinghandle. This resulted in ELA not just manufacturing products based on customer needs, but also producing their own innovative designs.
In 2001, as a result of Daniela introducing the ISO quality management system, the doors opened up for stable relationships with international business partners. 2001 was also the first year when ELA Hungary LTD took part in the Industria Expo in Budapest.
The next memorable year was 2002, when the Runge-Juracsik family welcomed a baby boy called Mátyás Jr. into their family, and one of ELA’s most successful products was born: the 3D hinge. This soon won the appreciation of the air conditioning and ventilation technologies industry, and the company still takes great pride in the product.
ELA moved from Cziraki road to Repülőtéri road.
In 2009 management reorganized production, and the whole machinery complex was exchanged for newer CNC lathes, hydraulic, and excenter extruding machines. As a result, ELA could cover a broader range of product manufacturing and expand within the market.
In 2012 Daniela’s and Mátyás’ firstborn daughter Nadja joined the team, making ELA a family business of two generations.
2016 was a significant milestone for the company as they made great investments by moving to Törökbálint, their first own establishment. The whole team was very excited about moving into their first “own home”, as it proudly was called. The acquisition included new machinery and technology.
Since 2017 many vital changes have supported the company both in regards of technology and operation. There have been more investments and developments, and in 2020 Nadja became a member of the management team.
ELA stands on firm grounds as Nadja joined the management team in 2020, making it a second-generation business. Our long term plan is to have global business cooperations and expand the supply of our products. We wish to keep up with today’s rapid technological developments, seize the opportunities created by these and manage the changes properly within the company. We also pay attention to our community by supporting local organizations, institutions, and establishments.
In the 25 years of our existence, we welcomed many great people into the team. We will always be grateful for them and those exceptional colleagues who played a defining role in ELA’s past, present and hopefully future. Without these people’s effort this company and our success would not be as great as it is today. Let us introduce some of them:

‘These 25 years give us an opportunity to look back on all the great and positive things we achieved and on what we learned. With Daniela, our joint vision was to create a corporate culture that relies on core values, serving our community and positively affecting our society.
I believe that we reached this goal. We are also proud to have handed down these values to our children. With ELA solutions LTD, we provided an anchor for them and made sure they can spread their wings and explore their knowledge and skills. A good leader is selfless, just like a good parent. A good leader knows that he or she did not reach success alone, but with everyone, they worked with. Therefore we celebrate our success with:

I would personally like to thank my wife, Daniela, whom I will always be grateful to for what we created. I look back at our past, a past with challenges, happiness and success. I now know that it was all worth it. We can thank ourselves for this, as it is our doing and our triumph.’
